10 fun days across Gaza bring joy to 5,417 children and caregivers

Children raise their hands and cheer at an open-air activity

The Center for Mind-Body Medicine (CMBM), in partnership with IDEA, held 10 recreational days at 10 sites in Gaza City, the Middle Area and Khan Younis.

The days reached 5,417 community members: 4,496 children and 921 adults, 3,071 of them female and 2,346 male.

They were designed mainly for children and their caregivers who have lived through the 2023–2026 war and long displacement. The aim was to support their psychosocial well-being, ease stress, anxiety and fear, and encourage positive social interaction.

Each event lasted about three hours, in child-friendly spaces with interactive games, clown shows, storytelling, face painting, music and movement.
