Third cohort of our professional and advanced training: 20 professionals from three Gaza organisations

The Center for Mind-Body Medicine (CMBM), with the generous support of IDEA, ran the third cohort of its Professional Training Program (PTP) and Advanced Training Program (ATP) in the Gaza Strip.

20 professionals took part, from three local partner organisations: Wefaq for Children and Women Care (WEFAQ), the Family Development Association (FDA), and Nuseirat for Rehabilitation and Social Training Association (NRSTA).

The training gave participants practical Mind-Body skills and prepared them to bring these approaches into the services their organisations offer. Through presentations, discussions, small-group practice and supervised facilitation, they built skills in breathing and movement, meditation, guided imagery and creative expression.

By building skills locally, the programme widens access to psychosocial support: the trained professionals can share these skills with as many people as possible, and promote self-care, stress management and resilience in their communities.
