Our whole team is trained in first aid

To strengthen the team’s readiness for emergencies, the Center for Mind-Body Medicine ran three rounds of first aid training with the CADUS Foundation at the centre’s office in Deir al-Balah, each lasting 7 hours.
The training covered scene safety and primary assessment, casualty drag and carry techniques, the MARCH approach, management of massive bleeding, airway, breathing and circulation assessment, hypothermia and head injury management, and the recovery position, combining theory with hands-on practice.
Facilitators also received specialised training from the Palestinian Red Crescent Society in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the management of fractures. All staff at the centre are now trained in basic first aid, contributing to the safety of the people we serve and a safer environment.
