First cohort completes professional and advanced mind-body training

As part of the Hope, Healing & Resilience-Building for Gaza project, generously funded by Islamic Relief USA, the Center for Mind-Body Medicine concluded the first round of the Professional and Advanced Mind-Body Training, which ran for eight days from 1 March 2026.
The round brought together 24 trainees nominated by partner organisations, out of 84 trainees across four planned rounds. The training aims to promote self-care among staff of partner organisations and strengthen their capacity to integrate Mind-Body skills into their community programmes.
Certificates were presented at the close, and Country Director Dr. Jamil Abdel Atti praised the partners’ role in the project’s success. The trainees are now qualified to deliver Mind-Body skills workshops and groups to the people their organisations serve, under clinical supervision from CMBM supervisors.
We are proud of every trainee who was part of this journey, and we believe that what started here will continue to reach many others.
